Zhiye Zen Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Zhiye Zen Temple is the bodhimanda of Manjushri Bodhisattva and the only temple in Shanghai that enshrines the Five Directions Manjushri. It aims to cultivate the great Prajna wisdom of Manjushri, establish right views and understanding, and provide an excellent place for students to gain sudden enlightenment. The temple also offers exquisitely crafted colored glaze Bodhisattva statues, including the Colored Glaze Manjushri Bodhisattva, the Colored Glaze Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the Colored Glaze Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, available for donation and enshrinement by devotees.
