Luodian Meilan Lake is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Meilan Lake is located in Luodian, Baoshan District, Shanghai, covering an area of 110 acres, making it the second largest artificial lake in the urban area of Shanghai. As the centerpiece of the new Luodian Town, Meilan Lake is hailed as “the most beautiful place in northern Shanghai.” Stepping into the Nordic-style new district of Luodian by Meilan Lake, visitors are instantly immersed in a strong sense of exotic charm, making it hard to tell exactly where they are. The shimmering lake surface, under the soft glow of the sunlight, is complemented by the standing clock tower and various western-style houses with red walls and black tiles.

The scenic area centers around the stunning Meilan Lake, surrounded by Nordic-style enclosed buildings of varying heights, up to three stories. These include the Outlet Shopping Plaza that combines shopping and leisure, and the Nordic-style Street integrating dining, entertainment, and relaxation; the five-star Meilan Lake Crowne Plaza, resembling a Nordic castle; and the Meilan Lake International Convention Center, a top-tier conference landmark in northern Shanghai.

There is also the fun-filled Meilan Lake Theme Park; one of the nation’s top ten golf courses — the 36-hole North Forest South Lakes Golf Course that meets international PGA standards; the Meilan Lake International Art Museum showcasing masterpieces of domestic art; and Asia’s largest wedding photography base, Meilan Lake, with participation from numerous brands. In addition, the scenic area offers water-based leisure activities, a Nordic clock tower, a red bridge, Crocodile Hill, Turtle Island, and other recreational spots.
