Future Islands Park

Future Islands Park is located on the south side of Zhenjiang North Road, at the junction of Qilian Mountain Road and Suide Road, situated in the center of the Future Islands Logistics High-Tech Park in Taopu Town, Putuo District, Shanghai’s western hub.

Future Islands Park features a framework of multi-layered arbor trees with combined crowns, using pollution-resistant native species such as beech, privet, palms, metasequoia, as well as magnolia and cedar as the main tree varieties. It has also introduced new tree species like large-leaved camphor, silverwood, and acacia. The park is home to 56 different types of trees, totaling around 27,000 individual plants. Within the park, there are comprehensive buildings and combination pavilions. Aside from a circular main road, the park also includes small plazas and fitness paths scattered throughout for visitors’ activities. The recreational spaces emphasize harmony between people and nature, making this an ecology- and environment-focused park.
