Fangzheng Lotus Lake Park

Lotus Lake, originally named Lotus Pond, is located at 45°50′ north latitude and 128°45′ east longitude. It lies about 5 kilometers west of Fangzheng County. The lake covers a total area of 73 hectares, with 30.5 hectares of flowering space, and currently has about five million lotus plants. It earned its name due to the naturally growing lotuses in this unique geographical environment. It is the largest and most lotus-rich natural lotus lake at this latitude.

In the height of summer, willow shades hide blooming lotuses, swallows play among the flowers, green leaves glow crimson, lotus flowers reflect moonlight, and blossoms reach toward the sun — creating a poetic and picturesque scene that captivates visitors. The scenic area includes five attractions: "Willow Shade Hiding Lotus," "Swallows Frolicking with Lotus," "Green Leaves and Crimson Clouds," "Lotus Mirroring the Moon," and "Blossoms Reaching the Sun." Recently, new features such as the Lotus Breeze Pavilion and Lotus Pavilion have been added, bringing even more charm to the site. The lake also has a comprehensive service building covering 1,200 square meters, offering dining, entertainment, and accommodation.

Every year on July 28th, Fangzheng County celebrates its "Lotus Festival." During the event, guests from all directions gather at Lotus Lake to admire the blossoms and enjoy the scenery. Grand celebrations and colorful festivities fill the air with laughter and song, creating an indescribably delightful atmosphere.
