Designed with curation as the core spatial concept, HowToTrip Grand Formosa Regent Tainan officially opens

The first design-style hotel under the Grand Formosa Regent Hotels & Resorts group, "HowToTrip Grand Formosa Regent Tainan," officially opened today (the 10th), hosting a brand launch event. Designed with curation as the main spatial concept, the hotel preserves a total of 120 ping of exhibition space. Shen Fangzheng, CEO of Grand Formosa Regent Hotels & Resorts Group, stated that the introduction of the Regent brand is aimed at staying at the forefront and integrating the city's imagery to allow travelers to experience the “sweetness” of Tainan.

General Manager Tang Bochuan opened with the remark, “It’s not easy to raise a mischievous child.” The HowToTrip Regent Tainan, which has a total of 223 rooms, is connected to Tainan Dream Mall, making it Taiwan’s first hotel integrated with a department store. A Dutch designer was commissioned to plan the overall style of the hotel, using black and white as the main color scheme, and featuring three small houses made of wood, brick, and fair-faced concrete in the restaurant area to showcase the evolution of Tainan’s architectural history. The entire hotel also incorporates the design concept of traditional window lattices—subtle yet stylish.

Shen Fangzheng, CEO of Grand Formosa Regent Hotels & Resorts Group, stated that HowToTrip Grand Formosa Regent Tainan is the first hotel under the group’s “Regent” brand line. Moving forward, the direction will focus on design-driven Regent hotels. “We don’t open new hotels just to expand our footprint—we only establish them where there is local demand.” Currently, suitable locations in Taipei, Taichung, and other areas have been explored for potential expansion, while styles of hotels outside urban centers are also being considered.
