Recently, the signing ceremony for the collaboration between New Century Hotels Group, China UnionPay, and Bank of China was grandly held at the New Century Grand Hotel Hangzhou. More than 70 people attended the ceremony, including Fan Hang, Deputy General Manager of China UnionPay Zhejiang Branch; Guo Xingang, President of Bank of China Zhejiang Branch; Yao Hua, Vice President of Bank of China Zhejiang Branch; Fang Zheng, President of Bank of China Xiaoshan Branch; Chen Miaolin, Chairman of New Century Tourism Group; Chen Canrong, President of New Century Tourism Group; Chen Miaoqiang, General Manager of New Century Hotels Group; and mainstream media from Hangzhou. The three parties jointly signed a cooperation agreement on China UnionPay premium card benefits. This marks the first time China UnionPay has launched a card payment discount campaign nationwide for its premium cardholders, as well as its first cross-industry collaboration with a hotel group.

Fan Hang, Deputy General Manager of China UnionPay Zhejiang Branch, Yao Hua, Vice President of Bank of China Zhejiang Branch, and Chen Canrong, President of New Century Tourism Group, delivered speeches in turn. “As early as 2010, New Century Hotels Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Bank of China Zhejiang Branch. Since then, we have gradually carried out in-depth cooperation in areas such as customer service, business operations, and shared guest resources. This has realized our mutual goal of ‘joining forces, achieving mutual benefits, and providing more and better value-added services to customers,’ effectively expanding the quality customer base for both sides,” said President Chen Canrong in his speech. He added that this tripartite collaborative partnership marks a new level in the cooperation between New Century, China UnionPay, and Bank of China. It represents deeper and broader cooperation and development, and will provide New Century with comprehensive, high-quality banking services.
It is reported that this China UnionPay initiative is co-organized by Bank of China Zhejiang Branch and New Century Hotels Group. All China UnionPay premium cardholders can enjoy a special offer of “stay two nights, get one night free” when checking in at any hotel under the New Century Hotels Group by using a China UnionPay card starting with “62.” Starting now, the promotion will be first launched at Xiaoshan Hotel, New Century Hotels Group, Zhejiang, and will be fully rolled out to over 60 operating chain hotels under New Century Hotels Group within 2015.
According to China UnionPay representatives, China UnionPay premium cards generally have card numbers starting with “62.” This includes various high-tier credit card products such as platinum and diamond cards independently issued by different banks, as well as debit cards with pre-authorization functions, all of which are eligible for this campaign. That is, as long as you stay for two consecutive nights at a hotel under New Century Hotels Group and spend no less than 800 yuan using a credit card starting with “62,” you will be gifted one standard room (for one night). The offer is valid for up to six months.
At the ceremony, Wang Quan, General Manager of the Bank Card Department of Bank of China Zhejiang Branch, and Chen Miaoqiang, General Manager of New Century Hotels Group, signed the centralized acquiring cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective companies, integrating payment collection and improving work efficiency.
Additionally, in 2012, Bank of China and New Century Hotels Group jointly launched the first hotel-branded credit card from Bank of China — the Bank of China New Century Business Credit Card. This card is a financial IC credit card product that complies with the China UnionPay PBOC2.0 standard, offering customers fast, secure banking payment services and IC card functionality. Cardholders can enjoy dual status as both Bank of China credit cardholders and New Century Hotels Group VIP members, benefiting from high-value services and multiple exclusive privileges provided by both Bank of China and New Century Hotels Group. The Bank of China New Century Business Credit Card is also included in the “stay two nights, get one night free” promotional offer.
Finally, Guo Xingang, President of Bank of China Zhejiang Branch, and Chen Miaolin, Chairman of New Century Tourism Group, gave speeches, expressing their belief that this campaign will further enhance China UnionPay’s brand influence among premium cardholders and effectively promote the healthy development of the credit card industry. It is reported that based on this business collaboration, the three parties will also explore and cooperate comprehensively in more areas within the hotel industry.
