Fangzheng Lake National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

1. Geographic Location

Heilongjiang Fangzheng Lake National Wetland Park is located in the central part of Fangzheng County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. Its geographical coordinates are between 45°44′55.55″N to 45°52′54.38″N and 128°44′24.34″E to 128°55′25.33″E.

The wetland park area extends from Shuangfeng Lake in the south, follows the natural course of the Huangni River connected to the Mashi River; passes through the Xinli control gate where water is diverted into Shuangfeng River, and connects to the northern Dafangzheng Lake. Dafangzheng Lake, Xiaofangzheng Lake, and Swan Lake are linked by a water system, ending at the inlet of Dazui Lake. The planned total area is 677.43 hectares.

2. Wetland Overview

Heilongjiang Fangzheng Lake National Wetland Park is divided into five functional zones: Wetland Conservation Area, Restoration and Reconstruction Area, Education and Exhibition Area, Rational Use Area, and Management Service Area. The Wetland Conservation Area covers an area of 443.70 hectares, the Restoration and Reconstruction Area covers 178.43 hectares, the Education and Exhibition Area covers 25.61 hectares, the Rational Use Area covers 24.62 hectares, and the Management Service Area covers 5.07 hectares, accounting for 65.50%, 26.34%, 3.78%, 3.63%, and 0.75% of the total area, respectively.

• 3. Flora and Fauna Resources

According to the latest scientific surveys and previous relevant records, the planning area is home to 171 species of vertebrates, including 16 species of mammals (5 orders, 9 families), 106 species of birds (15 orders, 32 families), 5 species of reptiles (3 orders, 4 families), 7 species of amphibians (2 orders, 3 families), and 37 species of fish (including cyclostomes) (7 orders, 16 families).

There are 157 species of higher plants in the wetland, belonging to 55 families and 123 genera. Other types of plants, such as mosses, lichens, and fungi, are extremely scarce.
