The Former Residence of Yu Sixing is located at No. 2 Zhuojia Hutong, Jianhua District. Yu Sixing, courtesy name Zhenfu, was successively appointed as Director-General of the Heilongjiang Railway Negotiation Bureau, Director of the Internal Affairs Department of Heilongjiang Province, Magistrate of Sui-Lan Dao, Director of the Civil Affairs Department of Heilongjiang Province, Director of the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, and Acting Governor of Heilongjiang Province. He was a well-known bibliophile in Bukui. The residence consists of a total of four buildings—two main houses and two wing rooms—with a total floor area of approximately 300 square meters. It currently serves as residential housing for nine households. This site provides physical material for the study of local historical figures.

Yu Sixing, courtesy name Zhenfu, art name Genlu, was born in 1878 in Shouzhou (now Shouxian), Anhui Province.

He served in the retinue of General Enze, the Governor of Jilin. In the 21st year of the Guangxu reign (1895), he followed Enze when he was transferred from Jilin to Heilongjiang. On January 23, 1900, Enze passed away due to illness, and Suihua Vice Commander Shoushan temporarily assumed the role of Governor of Heilongjiang. Yu Sixing then transferred to Shoushan’s retinue. In August, during the Russian invasion, Governor Shoushan died in battle. Yu Sixing accompanied the coffin to the home of Shoushan’s brother-in-law, the Prince of Durbet, and oversaw his burial there.
