On November 4, 2013, VAUDE officially released recruitment information for the second stop of "Cycle to Climb," inviting participants to meet at the most beautiful season of Haba Snow Mountain. The one-month application period ended on December 5, successfully enlisting 30 outdoor enthusiasts who will set off together on December 20, 2013, for an amazing trip featuring cycling tours of Lijiang, encounters with Tiger Leaping Gorge, stays in Haba Village, and ultimately, a climb up Haba Snow Mountain under the guidance of VAUDE’s professional outdoor coaching team.
In 2009, Italian mountaineers Diego Giovannini and Franco 'Franz' Nicolini climbed all 82 peaks over 4,000 meters in the Alps without using any mechanical assistance, moving between each peak by bicycle. They became the first pair of mountaineers to achieve this feat. Inspired by this, VAUDE launched the environmentally friendly "Cycle to Climb" series of activities, hoping to spark public reflection on outdoor environmental protection through such sustainable climbing methods.
It is understood that the "Cycle to Climb" environmental activity series is divided into three stops: Qiyi Glacier, Haba Snow Mountain, and the Alps. In June 2013, the first stop—Cycling Across Qiyi Glacier—was successfully concluded, with each participant sharing their unique experiences from the journey.
