The Parkview Museum
The Parkview Museum was established in August 2012. It is located on the 10th floor of Tower D, Parkview Green Fangcaodi, No. 9 Dongdaqiao Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, adjacent to the core area of Beijing’s CBD. It is a private non-profit exhibition space founded by Mr. Huang Jianhua, Chairman of the Parkview Group.
The museum has two exhibition halls, covering a total area of over 4,000 square meters. The venue features glass curtain walls and a steel frame structure, combined with ETFE membrane material on the building’s roof, forming a unique energy-efficient environmental envelope that allows the interior to maintain an independent microclimate. The adoption of advanced eco-friendly technologies—including a mixed-mode HVAC system and abundant natural lighting—has achieved an air quality level of MERV 11, the highest achievable in a composite building. This provides an optimal internal space for various forms of art exhibitions, ensuring artworks are displayed to their fullest potential.
The Parkview Museum is a non-profit art institution integrating contemporary art exhibitions, research, and public education. It is committed to actively promoting and contributing to the development and study of contemporary art in China. Upholding a people-first philosophy, it represents a significant evolution from the traditional “object-centered” approach of past exhibition spaces. While focusing on key domestic contemporary art movements and influential artists, it also dedicates itself to discovering and nurturing emerging talent. Within a global context, the museum enhances international artistic exchange and academic discourse, fostering positive interactions among artists, institutions, and events both in China and abroad—thereby establishing a modern artistic vision and creating an international platform for cultural exchange.
