Known as the "Little Yangmingshan," Eighteen Peaks Mountain is one of the most beloved leisure spots for Hsinchu residents. With its beautiful environment and family-friendly trails, it's a popular destination. The 2011 Eighteen Peaks Mountain Flower Viewing Month will kick off on March 5 and run for a month, welcoming visitors to Hsinchu to enjoy the beautiful spring blossoms and cultural activities.

The park features gentle slope trails stretching about 7-8 kilometers across 18 peaks. Its eastern foothills neighbor Tsinghua University, while its western side along Xuefu Road connects with National Chiao Tung University (Bo'ai Campus), Hsinchu High School, Hsinchu Commercial School, and two junior high schools, Jianhua and Peiying. The winding tree-lined paths are perfect for hiking, offering views of swaying forests, colorful blooms, as well as carefully designed flower chairs and a floral clock. Beyond nature, the area also features historic stone Guanyin statues, air-raid shelters, and a gravity reference station, all with their own long-told stories.

Since 2004, the annual March Flower Viewing Month has become one of the major events attracting large numbers of domestic and international tourists to Hsinchu. Known as the "City of Gardens," Hsinchu is the perfect place to gather friends and admire the vibrant spring scenery when flowers are in full bloom. On Eighteen Peaks Mountain, you’ll be greeted by the fragrant scents of blossoms and leaves, the chirping of birds, and endless green forests—offering a chance to enjoy pure natural beauty. Eighteen Peaks Mountain is not only the most beautiful garden in Hsinchu but also an oasis within the tech city.
