The Daqing Grassland Horse Racing Field is located in the western suburbs of Taikang Town, covering an area of 150,000 square meters. It currently has 112 employees and can accommodate 118 racehorses.

The horse racing field was first built in 1993 as the venue for horse racing during the Nadam Fair, and was originally named the Daqing Horse Racing Field. In 1997, following decisions by the municipal Party committee and government, it underwent reconstruction and renovation to expand its functions, becoming a tourist attraction offering modern horse racing with prizes. It was then renamed the Daqing Grassland Horse Racing Field. The races use the internationally standardized starting gate system. The field is staffed by highly skilled professional jockeys, and all horses are carefully trained to fully meet the demands of modern horse racing. Building on traditional ethnic horse racing activities, standardized and comprehensive modern prize-winning horse racing management rules have been developed, making the races more competitive, entertaining, accessible to the public, and rich in ethnic cultural enjoyment. These enhancements fully reflect the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness in modern horse racing.

　Since its inauguration, the horse racing field has successfully hosted 250,000 domestic and international visitors, and has also received 56 visits from leaders at the central, provincial, and municipal levels. The races have helped raise the profile of both our county’s and Daqing’s tourism industries, promoted Mongolian culture, and together with our county’s Lianhuan Lake and Shoushan Leisure Resort, the modern Daqing Grassland Horse Racing Field has formed the “Golden Triangle” tourist route in Daqing, attracting large numbers of tourists.
