Daqing Fuyu Zhengjie Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Fuyu Zhengjie Temple has a long history. In the 52nd year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1787), the Banner Zasak decided to build a Banner temple. After six years of construction, in the 58th year of Qianlong (1793), the Horqin Right Wing Dörbed Zhengjie Temple was completed. Its Mongolian name is “Ülümgigid Güss Baýsagurantujan Tchagan Hüde,” commonly known as the Great Temple. Its Mongolian abbreviation is “Hösh Hüde,” meaning “Banner Temple.”

The temple was initially completed at the eastern foot of Dokdor Mountain, then relocated to the eastern side of “Huoshaohēi,” and later moved to the site of Wuljituhumu, which is now the Damiao Village in Bayan Chagan Township. In 1968, the Bayan Chagan Commune Revolutionary Committee decided to demolish the halls of Fuyu Zhengjie Temple, using its bricks and tiles to construct bungalows and walls. Fuyu Zhengjie Temple is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Heilongjiang Province.

Fuyu Zhengjie Temple covers an area of 300,000 square meters. Centered around the main temple, there are five smaller temples surrounding it. The structures of the temple’s government and storage buildings are made of brick, wood, tile, and stone, featuring an architectural style that blends Mongolian and Tibetan elements. These blend harmoniously with the surrounding green mountains, clear waters, and ancient trees, forming a grand and spectacular temple complex that is vast, magnificent, densely arranged, and resplendent. At its peak, Zhengjie Temple housed over 500 monks.

The main activities of the lamas in the temple are chanting scriptures. There are also eight major scripture recitation sessions held annually, lasting ninety days in total. On the seventh day of the first lunar month and the fourteenth day of the sixth lunar month, the “Cham” dance ceremony is also performed. In the past, it was an important temple of the Dörbed people; today, it has become a famous tourist attraction and a place for religious activities among worshippers.
