Snow Town Primitive Forest Scenic Area

The snow-covered, picturesque Shuangfeng Forest Farm is located in Hailin City, southern Mudanjiang, within the Dahailin Forestry Bureau. It lies at the convergence of the Zhangguangcai and Laoye mountain ranges, covering an area of 500 hectares, with the entire region situated at an altitude of over 1,200 meters. The area enjoys a long and frequent snow season, with snow cover lasting up to 7 months, from October to April of the following year. Snow continues uninterrupted during this period, with an average annual snow depth of 2 meters—the heaviest in China. The snow is of high quality and has a sticky texture, earning it the reputation as "China's Snow Town."

Transportation: Snow Town is located in Shuangfeng Forest Farm, Changting Town, Hailin City, under the jurisdiction of Mudanjiang City, about 105 kilometers from Changting Town. From Mudanjiang City, you can take a direct special shuttle bus. From Harbin and other locations, you can take a train or bus to Changting Town, then transfer to a passenger bus (departing daily at 6:40, 13:30, and 16:50, with a one-way fare of 14 RMB) or taxi directly to Snow Town. Buses returning from Snow Town to Changting Town depart daily at 5:30, 6:30, and 12:10.

Mudanjiang – Snow Town Direct Shuttle Bus (one trip per day): Departure from Mudanjiang: Mudanjiang (14:00) – Dahailin (16:50) – Shuangfeng Snow Town (19:30) Return from Snow Town: Shuangfeng Snow Town (5:30) – Dahailin (9:30) – Mudanjiang (11:00) Harbin – Snow Town by Train: Take a train from Harbin Railway Station to Mudanjiang City, then transfer to the special shuttle bus to Snow Town. By Bus: At No. 53 Haerbin Railway Street (right side of the train station), there are two direct Golden Dragon buses to Changting Town daily—departing at 9:30 (arriving at 14:30) and 15:00 (arriving at 20:00). The fare is 50–60 RMB. Then transfer to a bus or taxi directly to Snow Town. Buses returning from Changting Town to Harbin depart daily at 5:00 and 16:00.

Tickets/Opening Hours: Snow Town combo ticket (including skiing, sightseeing, accommodation, and meals) costs 320–480 RMB per person per day. (Available from late November to early December through April of the following year)
