Hailin Longtou Mountain
Longtou Mountain is located in Longtou Village, Jiujie Township, Hailin City, southeastern Heilongjiang Province, on the north bank of the Hailang River, and is part of the Zhangguangcai Mountain Range. According to the newly compiled *Hailin County Annals*, “A small ridge extends westward from this hilly area to the southeast bank of the Hailang River,
and is called Longtou Mountain.” Longtou Mountain is an isolated, towering peak surrounded by nine spurs, standing at an elevation of 305 meters. It presents a rare sight of closely connected peaks and is also a symbol of the old Ningguta City. The western side of the mountain rises steeply and is known as “Fangzhi Cliff,” named by Fang Gongqian, an exiled scholar from the early Qing Dynasty.
