Covering a total area of 188,000 square meters, including 26,000 square meters of water surface, 59,000 square meters of paved roads, 72,000 square meters of lawns, originally planted with 2,385 trees, nearly 250,000 shrubs, and over 20,000 ornamental plants. This year, in line with the district government’s requirements to renovate and maintain the square’s infrastructure, plant more tall trees to enhance the landscape, an investment of 1.6 million yuan was made to newly plant 2,269 trees of eight species—including birch, Mongolian oak, Korean pine, Manchurian ash, green ash, and bird cherry—with trunk diameters of over 20 centimeters, as well as 3,000 shrubs. This has created an overall greening effect at Jinjiang Square that combines both coniferous and broadleaf species, integrates trees and shrubs, features varied heights and layers, and showcases distinct seasonal landscapes.
