Recommended Attraction: Eslite Spectrum Green Park Boulevard

Located on Kōei Road, Eslite Spectrum Green Park Boulevard features Asia’s largest outdoor vertical garden, covering one-third of the building’s exterior. With vibrant hues of green, yellow, red, and white, the colorful display is truly eye-catching. Another delightful surprise awaits inside the building—a 20-meter-high indoor vertical garden, filled with green and red foliage as well as colorful lantanas, is so beautiful it moves the heart. A mirrored pool on the underground second floor reflects the image of the vertical garden, extending the sense of greenery even further downward. Paired with a piano situated in the middle of the pool, the scene becomes poetic and picturesque. The building, both inside and out, is enveloped in greenery, making you feel as though you’re in a mysterious bookstore deep in a jungle. The management has introduced drip irrigation and misting systems from Europe, adjusting water supply and humidity according to the seasons. The plants are trimmed daily and replaced quarterly, ensuring the space remains perpetually lush.

Recommended Attraction: Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park

After the Taichung Brewery officially ceased operations in 1998, it was taken over by the Council for Cultural Affairs, which integrated the former brewery with cultural industries. In 2009, the “Cultural and Creative Industries Park” was officially opened as one of Taiwan’s five major creative and cultural parks, and also the best-preserved among the existing five breweries. The park has repurposed old warehouses into exhibition spaces—for example, what was once a warehouse for storing finished huangjiu (yellow wine) and huadiao wine has been transformed into an art and cultural exhibition hall; the former auditorium and dining hall known as Hengdao Hall has been converted into a space for small performances and exhibitions; and the International Exhibition Hall was built from a warehouse that originally stored raw materials for huadiao wine.

Tunghai Art Street has earned a reputation for its unique cultural style and artistic ambiance. Walking up the gently sloping street, you’ll find rows of sidewalk trees and square wooden flower planters on either side, along with gray stone-paved ground, creating a romantic atmosphere reminiscent of a European town. Various uniquely styled shops are scattered along the street and in the alleys on either side. In addition to clothing stores and cafes, the area is also home to many antique and art shops. From imported artistic accessories to clothing designs and jewelry handicrafts by local artists, Tunghai Art Street is a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
