Shenyang Jingang Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Shenyang Jingang Chan Temple is located on Longshou Mountain in Magang Village, Magang Township, Shenbei New District, Shenyang City. In February 16, 2006, Master Shangxian Xiaotao was traveling on foot when he arrived at Longshou Mountain in Magang. He noticed that the mountain had a wide and open terrain — an ideal place for spiritual practice. Thus, he resolved to build a monastery here to meet the needs of devotees and to realize his wish of promoting Buddhism, propagating the Dharma, continuing the lineage of Buddhist teachings, practicing the Bodhisattva path, repaying the kindness of all sentient beings, and repaying the kindness of the nation.

Construction of Jingang Chan Temple began on July 25 of the leap year 2006. With the care of governments at all levels, the support of devoted followers, and the joint efforts of monastic residents and construction workers, after eight years, the temple has taken initial shape. Nestled among the mountains, the temple resembles a blooming lotus. The once quiet mountain area has now been transformed into a serene sacred site where the sounds of Buddhist chants echo and the morning bells and evening drums resound far and wide.

Jingang Chan Temple is a tranquil, elegant, solemn, and sacred place. Far from the city, the drinking water here is particularly pure — it is underground mineral water, which makes the tea especially fragrant and sweet.

Transportation by Bus: Within Shenyang City, you can take bus routes 382, 326, or 328 heading toward Xinchengzi in Shenbei New District, get off at Xinchengzi Station, and then transfer to a bus bound for Magang Township at Xinchengzi Central Road. Walk about 2000 meters from the left turn at Magang Primary School toward Longshou Mountain to reach the temple.

Self-Driving Route: From Shenyang, take the Shenbei Puhe Avenue toward Tieling. At the Qingshuitai sign, turn right into Magang Village. After passing the Magang Police Station, continue forward. Look for a stone road sign by the roadside, then turn left off the highway onto an earthen road. You will see a wooden sign marking the way to the temple.
