Former Site of the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China

The Former Site of the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a Classic Red Tourism Attraction, and a Patriotic Education Base.

The Former Site of the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China at Fu’an Lane, Huangsi Road, Shenyang, has been officially renamed as the Memorial Hall of the Former Site of the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China was the highest leadership body of the CPC in Northeast China from October 1927 to January 1936. The site was opened to the public in 1985 and underwent large-scale renovation and expansion in 2003.

Currently, the memorial hall covers an area of 2,500 square meters and features sculptures of former secretaries and an oath-taking square. Following its renaming, the site plans to undergo further expansion, extensively collect cultural relics, and increase the number of sculptures and exhibition panels. The Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China was the highest leadership body established by the CPC in Northeast China from October 1927 to January 1936. In the great struggle of the Chinese people against imperialism and feudalism, the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the CPC, under the leadership of secretaries such as Chen Weiren, Liu Shaoqi, and Chen Tanqiu, organized and led numerous workers' movements, peasant movements, military movements, and student movements in the Northeast region, developing and strengthening the organization of the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the CPC.

Especially after the outbreak of the September 18th Incident, the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the CPC, under the leadership of the Party, held high the banner of resistance against Japan and bravely and effectively organized and led the first phase of the anti-Japanese war in the Northeast region—also the first phase nationwide. It not only made indelible contributions to the development of the CPC and the liberation of the Chinese nation but also wrote a glorious chapter in the history of the world's anti-fascist struggle.

On October 7, 2019, the Memorial Hall of the Former Site of the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
