Dabailou Bridge

The earliest bridge in Benxi city proper was the Dabailou Bridge, built in 1930 by the Nippon Mining Company. The bridge features a steel rail beam structure with a wooden deck (now asphalt-covered). It is 20 meters long and 5 meters wide, running north-south and spanning the Benxi Lake River. As it is situated in front of the former Dabailou building (now the entrance to the Second Power Plant Workshop of Bengang Power Plant) on the southern hill of Benxi Lake, which originally belonged to the Benxi Lake Coal and Iron Co., Ltd., it is called Dabailou Bridge.

Dabailou Bridge is a pedestrian-only bridge, not open to vehicles. For over 60 years, it has served as an important passage connecting the Xihu urban area with the Bengang First Ironworks and the Second Power Plant.
