The Longwan Reservoir in Heishan County is the largest reservoir in Jinzhou area, with a designed storage capacity of 24 million cubic meters and a usable water storage capacity of 23 million cubic meters. It has an average annual water surface area of over ten thousand mu, offering vast waterscapes. The Longwan Reservoir boasts elegant scenery and great potential for tourism development. Surrounded by rolling mountains and complemented by clear waters, the reservoir is embraced by hills and embraced by the lake. Lush green pines and cypresses cover the mountain slopes, accompanied by the calls of hundreds of birds. Gulls gather on the lake, and colorful fish swim beneath the surface. The combination of verdant mountains, emerald waters, blue skies, and picturesque scenery makes it an ideal destination for sightseeing. In recent years, the number of visitors coming here to hike, swim in the lake, and go fishing has been steadily increasing—from just 20,000 visitors annually in 1998 to over one hundred thousand by the year 2000.
