The Laobai Mountain Primitive Ecological Scenic Area of the Jilin Huangnihe National Nature Reserve is located in the northwest of Dunhua City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. The northwest of the reserve borders the Sanhetun Forestry Bureau of Heilongjiang Province, the northeast adjoins the Dahailin and Dongjingcheng Forestry Bureaus of Heilongjiang Province, the west is adjacent to Jiaohe City, while both the southern and eastern boundaries lie within the jurisdiction of the Huangnihe Forestry Bureau. The Laobai Mountain Primitive Ecological Scenic Area is situated on the southern slope of the Zhangguangcai Mountain Range, featuring undulating mid-mountain terrain. There are 11 peaks exceeding an elevation of 1,000 meters, with the highest peak, Laobai Mountain, standing at 1,696.2 meters above sea level, making it the third highest peak in Northeast Asia.
Dunhua Martyrs' Cemetery is located on Beihuan Road in Dunhua City. This century-old Korean-style folk house is nestled at the foot of a mountain in Yuqing Town, situated in a scenic location sheltered from the wind, bathed in sunlight, and surrounded by water. With a history of over 100 years, it is a typical example of traditional Korean architecture, retaining many of its original and rustic features. The house features a large roof with a flat middle section and upturned ends—its central part is as level as a boat gliding on water, while the raised ends resemble soaring cranes. All the lines and surfaces that make up the grand roof are composed of gentle curves and rounded forms, with the main ridge lines painted in thick white strokes. The stable, unadorned curves and the bold white outlines beyond the eaves distinguish the Korean-style grand roof from those of Han Chinese or Japanese architecture. The doors and windows are fitted with intricate wooden lattice grids and covered with traditional paper. The designs of the window lattices are meticulously crafted, featuring a rich variety of patterns, a balanced mix of long and short elements, a harmonious blend of squares and circles, and a thoughtful interplay of density and openness—all aiming for a neat, elegant, and vibrant aesthetic that is rare in Northeast Asia. The overall exterior presents a stretched, stable, and approachable scale. Viewed from the facade, it consists of three parts: the roof, the main body, and the base platform.
Monthly Clear Korean Ethnic "Farmstay" Yuqing Town is the main pilot township in Tumen City for developing farmstay tourism projects. Over 97% of the town’s population are ethnic Korean residents, with well-preserved folk culture and distinctive local cuisine. The basic infrastructure in the villages under the town’s jurisdiction is relatively good, the villages are clean and tidy, and most villagers’ houses still retain traditional Korean architectural styles.
