Rafting on the Tumen River is a tourism project developed to showcase the beautiful scenery along both banks of the Tumen River—the border river between China and North Korea—and to allow visitors to get an up-close view of North Korea’s Onsong County. It is the only border river rafting experience in Yanbian. The activities include bamboo rafting and motorboat rafting. Bamboo rafting and motorboat rafting centers have been built along the riverbanks, equipped with comprehensive facilities and safety equipment, and offer multiple rafting routes for visitors to choose from. During the peak tourist season each year, domestic and international tourists ride bamboo rafts and motorboats on the Tumen River, the border river between China and North Korea, to enjoy the scenic views of both countries and immerse themselves in nature, making their trip truly unforgettable.
