Mandarin Airlines' first flight on Nov. 1 from Kaohsiung to Magong offers "free ride, free experience"
Mandarin Airlines will launch a new daily route between Kaohsiung and Magong starting Nov. 1, providing island residents in Penghu with more flight options to Kaohsiung. To celebrate the inauguration of this new route, Mandarin Airlines has introduced an unprecedented "free ride, free experience" campaign. From the inaugural date on Nov. 1 through Nov. 4 (four consecutive days), the public is invited to fly for free on Mandarin Airlines' jet aircraft. Reservations opened at 10:00 AM on Oct. 19 on the Mandarin Airlines official website.

Taipei’s decades-old roast meat shop famous for “clay pot rice”!
Yue Xiang Yuan near Zhongxiao Fuxing Station is a long-established shop with decades of history. Its specialties are roast meat and clay pot rice. The roast duck has crispy skin, tender and non-dry meat with a rich flavor, while the roast pork belly has a sufficiently crisp skin with a strong smoky aroma—both are quite impressive. The soy sauce chicken is also very delicious, with smooth, tender, and elastic meat that doesn’t fall apart, and its dark brown skin is well-seasoned. The clay pot rice is cooked in an earthenware pot using non-long-grain rice, with a well-balanced sweet-and-salty seasoning that’s aromatic and full of flavor.
The contract for the management of Nantou's Sky Bridge has expired; the city government will take over and reopen the park in mid-November
The outsourcing contract for the Monkey Gorge Scenic Area in Nantou expired today (14th). Going forward, it will be managed by the Nantou City Government. "Ishi-Yaki-Nabe" is a distinctive local dish from the Oga Peninsula in western Akita Prefecture, Japan. As the name suggests, it is literally cooked using "stones." This is a traditional cooking method unique to Oga, where ingredients are first placed in water, then superheated sea stones (heated to thousands of degrees) are added.
