Singapore Airlines announced that it has signed an agreement with Formula One Group, officially becoming the title sponsor of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. This year’s event will be officially named the “2014 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.”

The Taiwan Railways Puyuma train, named after the Bunun people of Taitung, finally made its first trial run and arrived in Taitung at noon on the 18th. To express the local community's eager anticipation, Bunun elders dressed in traditional attire, along with fellow Taitung residents, had been waiting on the platform to welcome the arrival of the train. The elders also placed a floral wreath on the driver, saying, "Thank you for bringing the Puyuma train back."
New Taipei City YouBike to Add Five Rental Stations in Xinzhuang in July
The YouBike smile bikes continue to expand across New Taipei City. Currently, a total of six stations have been set up in Xindian and Xizhi districts. Taking into account the convenience of the Xinzhuang MRT Line, the New Taipei City Government has evaluated potential locations and decided to establish new rental stations at Danfeng Administrative Center, Fuying Administrative Center, Hougang Park, Xisheng Park, and Jiedanfeng Station. These are expected to be operational in July.

Breaking News / The Puyuma train makes its maiden voyage from Hualien to Taitung on the 18th
The long-awaited Puyuma train began its first test run on the electrified section of the Hualien-Taitung railway line on the morning of the 18th. The TEMU2000 tilting EMU departed from Hualien Station in the morning, making stops at Shoufeng, Guangfu, Yuli, and Guanshan, arriving in Taitung at 12:35. At 15:08 in the afternoon, it departed from Taitung, passing through Chishang, Ruisui, Fenglin, and Ji’an before returning to Hualien.
Mainland "bullet trains" launch to Shenzhen – Hong Kong tourists flood into Kinmen
In recent days, many people have been speaking Cantonese on the streets of Kinmen, as nearly a thousand Hong Kong tourists have been arriving in the area for sightseeing. April Snow Falls — Take a Flower-Viewing Shuttle to Tucheng Mountain Area for the “Tung Blossom Festival”
“April snow” is starting to fall across Taiwan, and New Taipei City’s Tucheng District has also entered tung blossom season. The Tucheng District Office reports that tung blossoms in the mountainous areas of Tucheng have currently bloomed to about 30–40% and are expected to be in full bloom by the end of April. To welcome the influx of flower-viewing visitors, a paid shuttle bus service will be available from now until May 11 at Exit 3 of Yongnan Metro Station, taking people up the mountain to enjoy the beautiful sight of “snow-like blossoms.”

The earlier alert about a potential bus shortage in Japan before the end of May has now been temporarily resolved. The Republic of China Travel Agents Association confirmed on the 18th that Japan has notified local tour bus companies that they are permitted to operate across regions from now until the end of June.

Taichung BRT sightseeing bus to launch in June – travel around city attractions may become free of transport costs!
The Taichung BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) will begin operations at the end of June, along with the simultaneous launch of the “Taichung City BRT Loop Sightseeing Shuttle Bus.” Starting from Taichung Railway Station, the route is expected to make stops at 28 locations including the One District Shopping Area, National Museum of Natural Science, Caotun Boulevard, and Taichung Prefectural Hall. The shuttle also qualifies for the “8 km free ride with card tap” promotion. In the future, visitors touring Taichung city can expect to save a significant portion of their transportation expenses!

In the Yizhong Commercial District alone, I know of at least five burger specialty shops, each with its own delicious style. As for this place, WHAT'S BURGER, their pineapple bun part really shines with a uniquely good flavor. The meat patty in the burger is also very substantial. But because it’s tucked away in an alley, passersby often don’t notice what’s being sold inside, which is a real shame.
