Gao’s Mansion is located in Fangshen Village, Zhangtaizi Town, 4 kilometers south of Dengta City. It was the ancestral home of Gao Yuheng, who served as Chief Clerk of the Official Agencies of Fengtian Province, Head of the Tax Collection Department, Acting Director of the Finance Department, Director of the Industry Department, and Director of the Narcotics Bureau during the Republic of China period. Construction began in 1927 and was completed in 1929. The mansion covers an area of 13,920 square meters, with a built-up area of 3,690 square meters and a total of 99 rooms. It is surrounded by a 4-meter-high, 0.66-meter-wide, 470-meter-long brick and stone wall, with a watchtower located at the southeast corner.

Beneath the gatehouse, there is a vermilion gate adorned with tiger-head rings. On the roof ridge above the gatehouse are two chicken-claw-shaped tassels, symbols of a fourth-rank civil official. On either side of the gate stand stone mounting blocks with three steps, indicating that Gao’s ancestors had once held official positions and rendered meritorious service to the court. Gao’s Mansion was designed largely based on the Shenyang Imperial Palace, featuring exquisite craftsmanship. It is the largest and best-preserved “bureaucratic landlord manor” existing in the province. On November 25, 1984, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic.

Zhangtaizi Town: Zhangtaizi Town is located in the southern part of Dengta City, bordering Liaoyang City to the south and just 45 kilometers from Shenyang City. It covers a total area of 50 square kilometers, with 48,000 mu of arable land, mostly on plains. The town administers 17 villages and 1 community, with a population of 24,000 comprising six ethnic groups: Han, Manchu, Hui, Xibo, Korean, and Mongolian. Major crops include rice, corn, and soybeans. The area has abundant resources, including large deposits of limestone and coal. The Changda Railway and Shenying Highway run through the entire region.
