Wanbao Bridge

It is situated north of Wanbao Village, Wanbaoqiao Subdistrict Office, Dengta City, on the west side of Shenying Highway, approximately 1 kilometer from downtown Dengta. In 1621 (the first year of the Tianqi era in the Ming Dynasty), after the Later Jin conquered Shenyang and Liaoyang, the wooden bridge was replaced with a stone one to support the transportation of military supplies and food for the Eight Banners troops, and was named Wanbao Bridge. The bridge underwent two major renovations in 1816 (the 21st year of the Jiaqing era) and 1822 (the 2nd year of the Daoguang era) during the Qing Dynasty. In 1909 (the first year of the Xuantong era), villagers donated funds to repair the stone bridge and erected a stone stele inscribed with the eight large characters “继述有人，辉增官路” (meaning “Successors continue the legacy, bringing glory to the official road”). The bridge consists of two piers and three arches, with a flat structure measuring 6.5 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 3.4 meters in height. Stone pillars with railings flank both sides. The bridge still stands today and remains passable. On November 25, 1983, Dengta County designated it as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit. It has now been developed into Wanbao Bridge Park for visitors to enjoy.
