Red Stone Valley Scenic Area

Red Stone Valley Scenic Area, commonly known as the Primitive Forest of Dahebei, is located in Naniuzhangzi Village, Dahebei Township, Lingyuan City. It earned the name "Red Stone Valley" due to the dark red color of most of its rocks. This is a natural ecological scenic area primarily featuring pristine vegetation landscapes, along with the landscape of the hills of western Liaoning. The scenic area spans a total area of over 5,000 acres. In 2005, with Nanshan Mountain as its focal point, it was approved by the Liaoning Provincial Forestry Department as the Lingyuan Qinglong River Provincial Nature Reserve. The main peak of Nanshan Mountain, Hongshilā, has an elevation and was once a battleground during the Qingping Campaign in the Liberation War period.
