Lingyuan Park

Lingyuan Park was first constructed in 1981 and opened to the public in 1989. Covering an area of 107.8 acres, the park includes a man-made lake spanning 13 acres. It is divided into a northern section and a southern section by the Jade Pig-Dragon sculpture. The main entrance features a traditional Chinese-style winding corridor, reflecting classical Chinese architectural concepts and craftsmanship. The southern part of the park mimics the beauty of natural lakes and mountains, presenting visitors with picturesque landscapes complete with hills, water, and islands. The area is lush with trees and filled with birdsong and floral scents. The islands are primarily covered with vegetation, including trees and flowers. The man-made lake offers activities such as boating and leisure fishing. The lawn extends all the way to the lakeside, with the water level nearly flush with the shore. Over 20 types of plants are cultivated in the park, including poplar, willow, ginkgo, Chinese pine, fir, and maple. The park also hosts a variety of recreational activities, making it a popular leisure destination for the people of Lingyuan.
