A View of Nine Ridges

"A View of Nine Ridges" is situated atop a mountain 16 kilometers into the Moridaga National Forest Park. From the observation deck, visitors can gaze into the distance and take in the profound depth and vastness of the Greater Khingan Mountains. Here, mountain after mountain stretches as far as the eye can see, ridge upon ridge connecting endlessly. Count them, and you can see nine layers of mountains in one sweeping view — hence the name "A View of Nine Ridges."

In the sunlight, the mountains display diverse shapes and distinct layers, with mist swirling around the nine ridges like silk and fluff. As the light of the sunset changes in intensity, the valleys grow serene and the fog takes on a pink hue, while the pines appear dark and the birches glow orange, presenting a magnificent and vibrant panorama of the Greater Khingan Mountains. This spot has attracted many artists and photography enthusiasts who have either painted masterpieces or captured fleeting moments, creating numerous outstanding works that reflect the pristine forests of Northeast Asia.

Descend from the observation deck and follow the "Hunter’s Path" into the valley. The rugged mountain trail is home to a rich variety of wild vegetation native to the Greater Khingan Mountains. Admire the grandeur of the mountains, breathe in the scent of pine, listen to birdsong, and discover wildflowers. If you can ride a horse through the forest for a stretch, you’ll get an authentic feel for the tough yet fulfilling lifestyle of the northern hunting peoples.
