Genghis Bogd Mountain: Located 35 kilometers west of Beligutai Town and 15 kilometers north of Provincial Highway 101, it stands at an elevation of 1,303.2 meters, with a relative height of 208 meters and covers an area of 6 square kilometers. Formed during the Pliocene epoch of the Tertiary period, the mountain features a volcanic basalt geological structure. It boasts majestic and spectacular natural scenery that is exceptionally beautiful. The northern slope strikingly resembles the face of Genghis Khan lying on his back, with his hair, forehead, eyebrows, eyes, nose bridge, upper and lower lips, chin, and beard all proportionally accurate and lifelike—so realistic and mystical that it looks as though Genghis Khan is gazing up to the heavens in conversation. Hence, it is called “Genghis Bogd Mountain,” meaning “Sacred Mountain of Genghis Khan.” Legend has it that Genghis Khan once held a ritual to worship Eternal Heaven here, which is why it has long been deeply revered and worshipped by herders, endowed with profound cultural significance, and regarded as the sacred mountain for worship across the entire banner. The annual worship ceremony on the 15th day of the fifth lunar month is grand and highly solemn.

The area surrounding the sacred mountain is vast and brimming with wild charm. A clear, transparent seasonal lake lies beside the holy mountain, while a natural trapezoidal volcanic plateau—commonly known as a table mountain—stands in the distance. Rare volcanic lava mineral water flows here. To the north of the sacred mountain lies Haratulimu Lake, which can split into three smaller lakes during the rainy season, resembling three libations of fine wine offered in tribute to Genghis Khan.

Moreover, this mysterious solitary mountain is capable of presenting several distinct visual phenomena, which is quite rare. When viewed from the east toward the west, one can see the supine face of the sacred mountain; when looking from the northwest toward the southeast, the silhouette appears as the face of an elegant and noble woman; and when viewed from the southeast toward the northwest, it resembles the face of a majestic lion.

Beligutai Town: Beligutai Town is located in the central part of Abga Banner, covering a total area of 6,077 square kilometers, of which the town itself spans 12 square kilometers. The town hosts over 80 government, party, military, and other units and departments, along with three middle schools and three primary schools. It lies 91 kilometers east of Xilinhot and 558 kilometers west of Hohhot. As the seat of the Abga Banner Party Committee and Government, it is also the political, economic, and cultural center of the banner.
