The launch ceremony of the tourism event themed "Experience Obo Culture & Roam the Vast Grasslands" was held on June 7 at the Wulanwuta Tourist Area in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner. The event was jointly organized by the Xilin Gol League Tourism Bureau and the People's Government of Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, and hosted by the Xiwuzhumuqin Banner Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, as well as the Xiwuzhumuqin Banner Weilisi Tourism Company.
At the launch ceremony, 10 top domestic travel influencers from Ziyousiyou New Media Group were appointed as "Grassland Tourism Civilization Ambassadors" and took a solemn oath.
On the day of the event, a series of activities were also held, including the Wulanwuta Obo Worship Ceremony, the Obo Worship Nadam Fair, the departure ceremony of the "Xilin Gol People Travel Xilin Gol" tour group, and the "Experience Obo Culture & Advocate Civilized Travel" public fitness hiking activity.
During the "Experience Obo Culture & Roam the Vast Grasslands" tourism event, various regions in Xilin Gol League will also host a rich array of Obo worship-themed events. These include the Erdun Obo Worship Ceremony in Xilinhot City, the Wuherqin Obo Worship Activity in Zhenglan Banner, the Worship of the Sacred Mountain Chinggis Bogd in Abga Banner, and the Wuzhumuqin King's Obo Worship Ceremony in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner. The events will continue until July 18.
Obo worship is an important part of traditional Mongolian folk culture. We have integrated the green, harmonious, and shared philosophy of "revering nature, respecting nature, and protecting nature" from Obo worship throughout the event. This essence has been further explored and highlighted. Through the form of Obo worship, we convey the virtue of taking from and giving back to nature. By allowing visitors to experience it firsthand, they come to understand the importance of protecting nature, thereby achieving the goals of grassland conservation and civilized travel.
Starting this year, Xilin Gol League will launch the "Experience Obo Culture & Roam the Vast Grasslands" tourism event. Through three to five years of continuous development, this event aims to become a highly influential local characteristic tourism and cultural activity for both Xilin Gol League and the entire region.
