Situated in Dameisha, Shenzhen, China, and spanning nearly 9 square kilometers, OCT East is a national eco-tourism demonstration area themed around cultural tourism and guided by the philosophy of “bringing urbanites back to nature.” Nestled between mountains and sea, OCT East masterfully plans three key themed zones — Adventure Valley, Tea Stream Valley, and Cloudy Bay Valley — combining various cultural tourism functions such as ecological adventure, leisure vacation, and outdoor sports, showcasing the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Phase I of OCT East: Tea Stream Valley, blending Chinese and Western cultures and featuring core elements such as “tea, Zen, flowers, and bamboo”; Cloudy Bay Valley, focusing on Olympic-style military sports and golf; as well as the Interlaken Hotel, mineral spring SPA, the “Heavenly Zen” evening show, and the first International Mountain Song Festival, all debuted simultaneously. Interlaken is divided into 7 attractions including: the Interlaken Hotel, Interlaken Mineral Spring SPA, Tennis Stadium, Water Practice Field, OCT East Grand Theater, Interlaken Railway Station, and Pedestrian Street (which includes the Train Station Square, Cuckoo Clock Stage, Cuckoo Clock Gate Tower, Covered Bridge, Bell Tower, Lake Center Bridge, and Tourist Mini Train). Tea Culture Ancient Town consists of 14 attractions including: Banpo Street, Tieguanyin, Tea Source Hall, Hundred Tea Screen, and Tea Tasting Pavilion. Phase II, Adventure Valley, will perfectly present in 2008 its Eight Great Journeys themed around “forest, sunlight, earth, river, and space,” as well as projects like the Hafey Red Wine Town and Guanyin Lotus Throne. You can take bus routes J1, 53, 103, 239, 242, 308, 380B, Sightseeing Line 1, or Airport Route 6 to OCT East Adventure Valley Station; or take routes 103B, 360, 364, or 387 to Dameisha Station and walk to Adventure Valley; alternatively, take routes 103, 242, 239, or 364 to the Customs Sanatorium and transfer to Sightseeing Bus 909 to OCT East Tea Stream Valley. By car:

Drive via the Yanchi Expressway, exit at Dameisha, and head to the Adventure Valley parking lot; or follow Yanmei Road to the “Sanzhoutian Intersection,” turn onto Yanshan Road, enjoy a 15-minute mountain driving experience, and then reach Tea Stream Valley or Cloudy Bay Valley. Ticketing/Opening Hours come in two types: Tea Stream Valley ticket is 150 RMB; the combo ticket is 180 RMB (includes entry to Tea Stream Valley and a round-trip jungle cable car ride for 30 RMB). Watching the “Heavenly Zen” performance requires a separate ticket. Regular seats start from 30 RMB on weekdays and 50 RMB on holidays.
