Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Hall

Established in 1985, the Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Hall was the city’s only platform for promoting industrial policies at the time. It served as a key venue for industrial project negotiations and product exhibitions, as well as one of the city’s patriotic education bases. In 1994, it was designated as a first-class foreign affairs reception unit in Shenzhen. Since its inception, the hall has hosted distinguished guests from over 100 countries and regions, including 53 heads of state, 79 delegations at the vice-premier level or above, and more than 200 ministerial-level or higher delegations. It remains an important site visited by China’s party and state leaders, as well as foreign dignitaries during their trips to Shenzhen. Serving as a window for showcasing the city’s industrial economy and a bridge connecting Shenzhen to the world, the hall has made significant contributions to promoting the image and achievements of Shenzhen’s industrial sector.

Additionally, the Exhibition Hall has undertaken the organization, design, and layout of numerous exhibitions and economic trade fairs commissioned by the municipal government, such as the China Hi-Tech Fair, China (Shenzhen) International Optoelectronic Exposition, and China International Industry Fair. These efforts have helped local enterprises build their brand image, establish their presence, and explore new markets, making outstanding contributions to Shenzhen’s economic development. The hall has been awarded the “Outstanding Contributor to Shenzhen’s Exhibition Industry in the 30 Years of Reform and Opening-Up” and the “Meritorious Contributor to Promoting the Development of Shenzhen’s Conference and Exhibition Industry in the 30 Years of Reform and Opening-Up.” It has also received multiple honors at recurring exhibitions, including “Best Exhibition Award,” “Best Organization Award,” and “Best Product Award,” earning high recognition from the municipal government and various sectors of society.

In April 2011, the Industrial Exhibition Hall in the Civic Center officially opened to the public. Currently located on floors 2–10 of the cylindrical building in the Civic Center, the hall covers a construction area of 13,000 m², with 10,000 m² dedicated to exhibitions. It is primarily used to host the “Shenzhen Industrial Achievements Exhibition” and “Industry New Product Cycle Exhibitions.” The multifunctional hall on the third floor is mainly used for high-end forums, art salons, and professional training sessions.
