Shenzhen Central Park

Shenzhen Central Park is located in the central part of Shenzhen, stretching in a north-south orientation. It borders Bijia Mountain to the north and Huanggang Port to the south, with a long stretch of pure fruit tree-lined greenery.

The park is designed with the philosophy of revering nature and learning from the natural environment. It mainly features plant-based landscaping, making full use of the variety of natural plant shapes and seasonal variations to compose scenic landscapes. The park has planted distinctive tree species such as Canadian date palms, twin king palms, snake fruit trees, elephant ear beans, golden shower trees, rain trees, purple-leaf plums, and red-leaf oaks. The outer area of the park consists of sparse woodland lawns dominated by palm species, creating a tropical jungle vibe reminiscent of southern landscapes. The central section is a densely forested central lawn, which provides a tranquil space within the bustling city while maintaining a forested atmosphere. The park also includes features such as an artificial lake fishing area and a public fitness zone.

The park is traversed by six municipal roads—Shennan Avenue, Zhenhua West Road, Hongli Road, Huafu Road, Binhe Road, and Huanggang Road—as well as the Futian River, making it a green oasis in the heart of the city. The park is not enclosed, ensuring very convenient access.
