Shenzhen Concert Hall is an iconic cultural facility in Shenzhen. Located in the central Futian District of the city, it covers a land area of 26,345 square meters and has a construction area of 41,423 square meters. Designed by the internationally renowned Japanese master architect Arata Isozaki, it is a modern, purpose-built professional concert hall designed exclusively for musical performances.

As one of the most advanced natural acoustics concert halls in China, Shenzhen Concert Hall consists of a main concert hall, a small theater, and other auxiliary facilities. The main concert hall is currently one of the larger natural acoustics performance venues in China. It features a canyon-terrace design, with a total area of 2,323 square meters and 1,680 seats. The massive pipe organ in the concert hall is the only one of its kind in Shenzhen.

The small theater is a high-ceiling, suspended performance space, covering a total area of 629 square meters. Its stage is designed as a flexible thrust-type, and the audience seating is divided into three levels, adjustable from 400 to 580 seats. Supporting facilities such as the Golden Tree Hall, Music Salon, Music Plaza, recording studios, practice rooms, VIP lounges, dressing rooms, and audience lounge enrich the artistic charm and practical functionality of the concert hall. Strolling through these spaces, visitors can feel the ambiance of art and enjoy spiritual enrichment.

Open to all classic forms of musical performance art

The completion of Shenzhen Concert Hall has provided a professional arts venue that meets international standards for hosting large-scale international symphony orchestra performances and major music competitions in Shenzhen. Since its opening in October 2007, Shenzhen Concert Hall has carefully curated a variety of music performance series. Renowned musicians and orchestras from both China and abroad—including Zubin Mehta, Lang Lang, Tan Dun, Gidon Kremer, Pinchas Zukerman, Eisenberg, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, and the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra—have performed beautiful melodies that have allowed audiences to experience the excellence of world-class artists and ensembles.

Today, the three concert seasons created by Shenzhen Concert Hall—the “Spring Listening Concert Season” in spring and summer, the “Colorful Summer Concert Season” for children during the summer holidays, and the “Autumn Listening Concert Season” in autumn and winter—have become widely loved. A diverse array of performances, including symphonic music, vocal music, solo and chamber music, percussion, jazz, and traditional Chinese music, are highly favored by the public and have significantly elevated the cultural taste of Shenzhen.
