Description: Constructed in the Qing Dynasty, Yanghou Palace was built to honor Yang Yanzhao (Yang Liulang), a national hero from the Northern Song Dynasty. The structure faces southeast and backs northwest (20 degrees west of north), and follows a traditional three-bay, two-courtyard layout with a central courtyard. It has a total width of 8.9 meters and a depth of 14.8 meters, covering a floor area of 132 square meters. The building features a brick-and-timber post-and-lintel structure. The intricately carved wooden reliefs on the door frame and the carved dragon pillars are original to the time of construction, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. Yanghou Palace has undergone multiple renovations over the centuries, with the last major repair taking place in the mid-1990s. It is the only remaining worship site in the city dedicated to Yang Liulang of the Song Dynasty’s famous Yang family generals.
