Shenzhen Children's Palace (Shenzhen Children's Science and Technology Museum) is located in the northeastern area of the central axis of downtown Shenzhen and is one of the four major cultural projects in the city center. Covering an area of 26,400 square meters with a construction area of approximately 53,000 square meters, the total investment was 538 million yuan. It was officially completed and opened on June 1, 2004.

Guided by the healthy growth needs of children and adolescents, Shenzhen Children's Palace uses its existing venues and website as platforms, highlights science education, builds upon high-end training programs, features first-class team development, and centers around thematic educational activities. By combining physical and virtual spaces, it aims to maximize social benefits and provides comprehensive services for the healthy growth and development of young people.

Shenzhen Children's Palace houses some of the first free science and technology exhibition halls in China, including seven themed pavilions on the ground level: "Energy World," "Science Kingdom," "Beautiful Homeland," and "Life Exploration," as well as underground pavilions such as "Journey to Space," "Underwater Wonders," and "Information World." The venue also features world-class digital planetarium systems (dome theater), dynamic 4D wraparound cinema, a 200-seat concert hall, a science and technology art exhibition hall spanning over 2,000 square meters, science experiment activity rooms, a student group activity plaza covering more than 3,800 square meters, an 800-seat Children's Palace Theater, and three major education and training bases for fine arts, performing arts, and piano.
