General Lai Enxi’s Residence

General Lai Enxi’s Residence is located on Nanmen Street in Dapeng Fortress, built in the mid-Qing Dynasty. Its owner, General Lai Enxi, was one of the “Three Generations, Five Generals” of the Lai family, having served as the military commander of Jinjiang in Fujian and been awarded the title of Martial General. The entire structure faces west and covers an area of about 120 square meters. It has a layout of three bays and two courtyards, with a brick-and-wood structure, tiled roofing, and a flush gable roof. The main entrance features carved floral eaves boards, and the porch walls are adorned with simple murals.
