Hedong New Residence is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province.

Hedong New Residence is currently the largest residential architectural complex in China, covering an area of nearly 2.5 hectares with a construction area of 14,530 square meters. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit in Shenzhen. The residence was first built in the 22nd year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1817 AD) as the ancestral home of the Luo family in Longgang. Its outer structure is wider at the front and narrower at the back, slightly trapezoidal in shape. The main interior structure follows a three-hall, two-wing layout, divided into inner and outer enclosures, and is of a grand scale. Within the walls, houses, halls, rooms, courtyards, wells, and corridors are arranged in a well-organized and staggered fashion, boasting the reputation of “nine skies, eighteen wells, and ten pavilions with covered walkways.”

On July 17, 2002, it was included in the fourth batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Units.

Nanlian Community: Nanlian Community is located in the central part of Longgang Subdistrict, situated between Longgang Subdistrict and Longgang Central City. It borders Longgang Market Town to the east, Nanyue Community to the south, Longgang Central City to the west, and Shengping Community to the north. National Highway 205 (Line 3 of the Shenzhen Metro) runs through the entire community, and the Huizhou–Yanjiang–Shenshan Expressway also passes through here. Both north–south and east–west urban arterial roads are spread throughout the community, forming a highly accessible road network with convenient transportation. The community covers an area of 5.69 square kilometers, with an original rural permanent registered population of over 3,200 people, over 100,000 migrant residents, and 17 resident groups under its jurisdiction.
