Yangmeikeng is the most beautiful valley in Shenzhen and is hailed as the "pearl" of the eastern coastal tourism area. Located in Daya Bay, it lies to the northwest of Nanao Town in Shenzhen. With its pleasant scenery, Yangmeikeng attracts an increasing number of tourists for leisure and vacation. The beautiful seaside views and the relaxing rural life make urban dwellers in Shenzhen extremely envious.

Yangmeikeng is formed by the convergence of two major valleys. One is Zhengwei Valley, which originates between Dayan Peak and Triangle Mountain; the other is Dakeng Lake, which originates from Qiniang Mountain. Along the way, there are continuous clear pools and beautiful scenery, with lush trees and birdsong on both sides. Its coastal road is smooth and offers limitless views, making it an excellent spot for cycling and hiking.

The fame of Yangmeikeng actually doesn’t come from its mountains or streams, but rather from the village’s close proximity to the sea and the stunning coastal scenic belt that begins at Langqi Yacht Club. Yangmeikeng is a small fishing village, although today no one makes a living by fishing anymore.

Yangmeikeng Village is so close to the sea that even the houses farthest from the shore can reach it in under three minutes. The houses closest to the sea are almost touching it, with waves lapping up to the balconies. As a result, these homes have become the top choice for tourists seeking leisure and vacation. Every weekend, the village’s houses are fully booked, and those near the sea need to be reserved about a month in advance. The coastal walking and cycling path starting from Langqi Yacht Club is also very close to the sea, where the blue waters of Daya Bay embrace the beachgoers. Although the small beaches along the way aren’t large and aren’t suitable for swimming, the scenery is spectacular—so much so that every weekend, numerous couples come here to take wedding photos. It can be called the most romantic coastal leisure belt on the Dapeng Peninsula.

Yangmeikeng is located in Daya Bay and is named so because, to the northwest of Nanao Town and situated between the Qiniang Mountain Range and Tiger Sitting Mountain, there is a hill covered with bayberry trees. The area is known for its valleys and beaches. Yangmeikeng is perfect for cycling tours, so almost every small shop has various types of bicycles parked outside—single, double, and even family-sized ones for three people.
