Phoenix Mountain National Mining Park is located on Shuangyong Street, Pinghu Town, Longgang District, Shenzhen, covering a total area of 881,300 square meters. It borders Dongguan to the north and northeast, is adjacent to Henggang Town to the southeast, lies near Buji Town to the southwest, and connects with Guanlan Town in Bao'an District to the northwest. It serves as a junction between Shenzhen–Dongguan, Longgang–Bao'an. The park lies within a hilly landform, with higher terrain in the northwest and lower in the southeast. Hilly areas and terraced plateaus account for 74.6% of the total area, with most hills ranging between 60 and 130 meters in height.

Located south of the Tropic of Cancer, Phoenix Mountain National Mining Park features a typical subtropical marine monsoon climate, characterized by mild weather, abundant sunshine, and plentiful rainfall. The average annual temperature is 21.7°C, and the average humidity is 79%. The park is set against the backdrop of Phoenix Mountain Park and the lotus-style garden mine, showcasing distinctive open-pit mining landscapes and cultural elements of Phoenix Mountain. It combines an urban park with mining heritage, highlighting unique mining relics as its main attraction.
