Jianchangwei is the only village on the Dapeng Peninsula with a coastline, located right next to the ancient Dapeng Fortress. Nowadays, over 300 homestays of various styles have been opened along the beachfront, each with unique characteristics. It's a charming urban retreat, especially popular among young people.

The scenery in Jianchangwei is picturesque, with a long, narrow beach. The sand closer to the sea is coarse and stings your feet, while the sand higher up is fine and soft. There are plenty of activities you can enjoy by the sea, such as playing beach volleyball, boating, fishing, canoeing, or cycling around the peninsula. Strolling along the shore, feeling the waves, and watching the stunning sunset by the sea are all wonderful experiences.

There are now over 300 seaside guesthouses in Dapeng, Shenzhen, most of which are concentrated along the coastline. Many were formerly residential buildings that have been converted into guesthouses, with their ground floors transformed into guest rooms, cafés, book bars, and more. These establishments come in a variety of styles—Chinese, Japanese/Korean, rustic, and minimalist—each colorful and distinct, giving visitors the illusion of being on Gulangyu Island.
