Dapeng Peninsula is located in the central-southern part of Guangdong Province, on the southeastern coast of Shenzhen. It lies between Dapeng Bay and Daya Bay. The peninsula includes the North Peninsula, the South Peninsula, and the connecting neck area in between, resembling a dumbbell in shape. It is a mountainous peninsula with elevations ranging from 700 to 800 meters, and granite is found throughout. Paiya Mountain on the North Peninsula has an elevation of 708 meters, and Qiniang Mountain on the South Peninsula reaches 867 meters. The rivers on the island are short and flow radially into the sea. The vegetation mainly consists of drought-tolerant subtropical grass slopes, monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forests, and Masson pine forests. The soil is lateritic red earth. The coastline is rugged, with limited tidal flat areas.

Nanao Subdistrict is located at the southernmost tip of Dapeng Peninsula in eastern Shenzhen. It borders Daya Bay to the east and Dapeng Bay to the west, surrounded by sea on three sides, with a coastline stretching 65 kilometers. It faces Hong Kong across the water, with the shortest distance to Hong Kong's Tung Ping Chau Island being just 2 nautical miles. Although Nanao is remotely located, it enjoys convenient transportation, being only about 40 kilometers from downtown Shenzhen. It is a beautiful and unique place with fresh air, picturesque scenery, and natural mountain and sea vistas, as well as distinctive fishing village charm. The area boasts abundant tourism resources and is the most well-preserved "pristine land" in Shenzhen to date, making it ideal for leisure, sightseeing, and vacationing. It is known as the "Oriental Hawaii." Most of the area remains in its primitive ecological state and has not been developed, earning it the nickname the "Land of Peach Blossoms" within the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.

Xichong (Xichong) Beach is 5.1 kilometers long and is the longest and finest sandy beach on Dapeng Peninsula. In October 2005, a "Most Beautiful Places in China" selection event, hosted by Chinese National Geography and co-organized by 34 media outlets nationwide, named the beaches of Dapeng Peninsula, represented by Xichong, as one of China’s eight most beautiful coasts.

Dalugang, also known as Dalugang Bay, is the cleanest, pollution-free, and freshwater-equipped beach in Nanao, Shenzhen. With snow-white sands and azure waters, the scenery is boundless. Due to its remote location, it sees few visitors, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and spiritual rejuvenation. The front of Dalugang faces the waters of Hong Kong, backed by Honghua Ridge, and flanked by Egret Bay and Black Rock Point. Nature’s craftsmanship has shaped Dalugang into a crescent bay surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one. The entire bay area is free from pollution. There are one large and one small beautiful beach within the bay, and a perennial stream flows down from Honghua Ridge and directly into the sea. Stargazing, night swimming, feeling the sea breeze, listening to the waves, walking along the shore, meditating, and conversing are all incredibly romantic activities here.

1. Take a speedboat (known as "big fly") by sea from Xichong Beach for 150 RMB, which takes about 15 minutes to arrive. Note that the 150 RMB fee includes round-trip transfer service.

2. Hike over from Gong Village. Starting from Xigong Village, you’ll need to climb over a small hill about 200 meters high.
