Shenzhen Hakka Folk Culture Museum

The Shenzhen Hakka Folk Culture Museum is also known as "Hakka Walled Village of Heping" (Hehu Xinyi), and is the largest Hakka residential architectural complex in China by land area, covering 24,816 square meters with a built-up area of 14,530 square meters. It stretches 166 meters from north to south and 109 meters from east to west.

This site is a historical testament to the Hakka people’s development of the Shenzhen region. The museum displays over 400 cultural relics including various types of Hakka furniture, farming tools, household items, and genealogical records. Its permanent exhibitions — such as "Hakka Living Room Display," "Hakka Farming Tools Exhibition," and "Hakka Folk Customs Exhibition" — vividly showcase many aspects of the daily life and labor of the early Hakka settlers, including work, food, and wedding customs.
