It is a thematic history museum established to protect, study, and showcase the Dapeng Garrison, a national key cultural relics protection unit. The museum has collected a large number of cultural relics, local folklore, and historical materials on humanities. Currently, the museum regularly hosts four themed exhibitions: the "Dapeng Garrison Restoration Model Sand Table Exhibition," the "Chronicles of Pengcheng Historical Exhibition," the "Marshal Lai Enjue’s Residence Historical Exhibition," and the "Dapeng Granary Thematic Exhibition."
