Fengxiang Gongshou Pagoda
Fengxiang Gongshou Pagoda is a cultural heritage site protected at the district level in Fengtai District.
Fengxiang Gongshou Pagoda (commonly referred to as the Multi-Eave Pagoda) is located between Waya Village and Liyuan Village in Wangzuo Township, Fengtai District. It was designated as a district-level cultural heritage site in 1984.
Built during the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty. Originally, there were over ten multi-eave style pagodas to the south of Waya Village and north of Liyuan Village, commonly known as the "Pagoda Cluster Temple." During the Anti-Japanese War, the pagoda cluster was dismantled by Japanese forces. Today, only one seven-story octagonal brick pagoda with multi-eaves remains. It features a wood-like structure and is the memorial stupa of the abbot of Wanshou Temple during the Ming Dynasty. The pagoda is about 15 meters tall and approximately 5 meters in diameter. Each story has brick-built brackets with one-dou-three-cuo carvings beneath the eaves. The body of the pagoda features recessed windows and doors on each side. Below the pagoda body is a lotus base, then two tiers of carved bricks, and at the bottom is a sumeru pedestal with exquisite carvings. The structure is well-preserved.
