Senbola Magical World Theme Park is located within the Yangjiao Mountain Provincial Forest Park in Fogang County, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, about 4 kilometers from the Fogang exit of the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and 90 kilometers from Guangzhou. It is the largest theme tourist attraction in the northern suburbs of Guangzhou.

Senbola Magical World Theme Park is a key component of the “Yangjiao Mountain Forest Resort,” meticulously crafted by Hong Kong’s Xin Xin Group with an investment of 2 billion yuan to meet national 5A-level standards. Covering an area of over 800 acres, the park features attractions such as an ancient underwater forest landscape, an underwater tunnel, ancient tribal ruins of Yangjiao Mountain, Quaternary volcanic glacier relics, Senbola Ancient Castle, a wetland park, a joyful bamboo forest, Cherry Blossom Mountain, Hundred Flowers Island, and Bola Lake. It pioneered China’s first underwater gate of a forest ancient castle and the first forest-themed show, and houses the province’s largest and most concentrated collection of over 3,000 Alsophila spinulosa trees. The park also features dozens of rare, life-like and moving animatronic dinosaurs, including two of the tallest and largest in the world that have “settled” here. These dinosaurs measure 40 meters in length and stand 22 meters and 18 meters tall respectively. Additionally, there are 28 captivating wetland islands and four major themed mystery cities, along with large hot springs, spa treatments, team-building activities, and canyon rafting — all showcasing the ancient evolution and joyful harmony of the Lingnan forests. The Senbola Theater presents an original forest-themed show in China, vividly narrating the ancient history and legendary tales of Senbola, taking audiences on a journey to an ancient, joyful forest.

The word “Bola” means a magical and highly desirable place in Sanskrit, while “Senbola” refers to a place in the forest that is incredibly magical, unforgettable, and where memorable experiences are born. Backed by the 20-square-kilometer Yangjiao Mountain Provincial Forest Park, Senbola Magical World is the largest theme tourist attraction in the northern suburbs of Guangzhou. Grandly opened on September 8th, Senbola Magical World recreates the ancient underwater forest landscape, restores ancient phenomena such as the tribal ruins of Yangjiao Mountain and Quaternary volcanic glacier relics, and develops attractions like the “underwater” tunnel of Senbola Ancient Castle, the wetland park, and Bola Lake. It showcases the ancient evolution and joyful harmony of the Lingnan forests. The Senbola Theater presents an original forest-themed show in China, vividly portraying the ancient history and legendary stories of Senbola.

Spanning over 800 acres, Senbola Magical World features an underwater tunnel, the Wonderful Mixed Island, the Crape Myrtle Island, Cherry Blossom Mountain, Bola Lake, the Senbola Theater, and the Senbola Mystery City. The park boasts eight major wonders: the world’s tallest giant animatronic dinosaur, China’s first forest myth-themed show, the nation’s first underwater gate of a forest ancient castle, Guangdong’s largest Alsophila spinulosa kingdom, 28 wonderful wetland anime islands, four major themed mystery landscapes, the Ancient Vine Canyon Climbing Club, and the Senbola Tribe in the ancient forest. Among these, the Alsophila Valley lies within a deep, mysterious tropical rainforest canyon, where over 3,000 “living fossil” plants form Guangdong’s largest and most concentrated Alsophila spinulosa group. Dozens of “dinosaurs” are hidden among them, varying in shape — some can even sway their heads, wag their tails, and make sounds, making it China’s most realistic “Jurassic Park.”

On the rippling lake surface, 28 small islands of various sizes are scattered in an orderly fashion. The islands are connected by small bridges infused with a touch of classical charm. Among the ancient vines and greenery of the islands, it’s a perfect spot for hide-and-seek — a great way for families to bond, friends to reminisce about the good old days, or for visitors to fully explore every corner of the wetland islands.

A large maze built around four natural themes — stone carvings, totems, flowers, and vines — lets you test your ability to find your way when lost. Thousands of uniquely shaped wild vines climb along the rock walls, where you can challenge nature’s might by scaling the ancient vines to reach the summit. These adventure and team-building activities set amidst the landscape provide urban dwellers with a unique way to unwind.
