Wengyuan Wengjiangyuan National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Guangdong Wengyuan Wengjiangyuan National Wetland Park. Located in Longxian Town, Wengyuan, it covers a total area of 614.04 hectares with a wetland rate of 57.05%. It is a composite river and reservoir-lake ecosystem within the Beijiang River system of the Pearl River Basin. This wetland park boasts abundant wildlife resources and diverse wetland types, providing a natural habitat for wetland animals and wild birds to forage, rest, and breed.

Guangdong Wengyuan Wengjiangyuan National Wetland Park is located in the northeast of Wengyuan County, stretching from the boundary between Wengyuan County and Lianping County in the north to Huangjitán Water Weir in the south, and from the boundary between Wengyuan County and Lianping County in the east to Huangjitán Water Weir in the west. It consists of several tributaries at the source of the Wengjiang River, including the Guidong River and Potou River, as well as parts of the upper Wengjiang River and adjacent forested areas along the riverbanks. The total area is 516.65 hectares, with a wetland rate of 57.05%. The total project investment exceeds 86 million yuan. The development goals are to follow the basic principles of prioritizing protection, scientific restoration, rational utilization, and sustainable development. The project will implement wetland conservation and restoration initiatives to gradually enhance the water conservation and water purification capacity of the upper Wengjiang River, improve habitats for wildlife, establish a healthy and stable wetland ecosystem, and safeguard the ecological security of the Pearl River Basin’s water environment. By fully leveraging the park's rich natural resources and strong Lingnan cultural heritage, the site will promote wetland education, scientific research, monitoring, and eco-tourism, maximizing the ecological services of the wetland and raising environmental awareness among both visitors and local residents.

Longxian Town: As the county seat of Wengyuan, Longxian Town is the political, economic, and cultural center of the entire county. It is one of the provincially planned central towns, formed in December 2004 through the merger of the former Longxian Town, Nanpu Town, and Sanhua Town. The town currently has 14 party and government leadership members and seven internal offices: the Party-Government Office, Economic Development Office, Social Affairs Office, Agriculture Office, Family Planning Office, Planning and Construction Office, and Stability Maintenance Office. It covers a total area of 427.3 square kilometers, including 72,400 mu of arable land and 420,000 mu of forested land.
