Yuejin Reservoir is situated in the high mountain gorge of Shendushui, a tributary of Longxian River, southeast of Longxian Town. The area is characterized by rugged mountains, lush forests, and fast-flowing rivers. Located 15 kilometers from the county seat, it has a catchment area of 28.8 square kilometers, a dam height of 53.1 meters, a dam length of 125 meters, and a maximum water storage capacity of 18.946 million cubic meters. Built in the early 1970s as a state-owned medium-sized reservoir, its primary purpose is power generation, supplemented by irrigation, flood control, and fish farming. Its annual power generation exceeds 30 million kilowatt-hours.

Longxian Town: As the county seat of Wengyuan County, Longxian Town serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of the entire county. It is one of the centrally planned towns in the province, formed in December 2004 through the merger of the former Longxian Town, Nanpu Town, and Sanhua Town. The town currently has 14 party and government leadership members and seven internal offices: the Party and Government Office, Economic Development Office, Social Affairs Office, Agriculture Office, Family Planning Office, Planning and Construction Office, and Stability Maintenance Office. It covers a total area of 427.3 square kilometers, including 72,400 mu of arable land and 420,000 mu of forested land.
